DESCRIPTION:Few symbols elicit such a strong response. It represents the veterans who fought for the freedoms we all enjoy today. Many would say there is no way we can pay our nation's heroes back\, but honoring them when we have an opportunity to is a great start. On behalf of Leadership Greater Augusta (LGA)\, a non-profit educational program of the Greater Augusta Regional Chamber of Commerce\, it is a privilege to announce an important event commemorating valley veterans at a public reception on April 22nd\, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fishburne Military School. In addition to honoring many of our local veterans\, we will be raising funds for Hero Dogs\, Inc. Hero Dogs is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that provides service dogs free of charge to our nation's veterans\, helping them gain independence and improving their quality of life.
