SUMMARY:R-MA Student Leadership Symposium
DESCRIPTION:Randolph-Macon Academy will host the second Leadership Symposium on Saturday\, April 13\, 2019\, beginning at 9:00 a.m. in Melton Memorial Gymnasium. \n\n\n\nApproximately 30 students from a number of public as well as private military and prep schools from across Virginia are expected join in the Symposium. After the opening session that will provide "An Introduction to Innovation & Leadership\," the students will break into groups according to their topics of interest\, choosing from Health Sciences\, Military\, Cyber/Computer Science\, Aviation (Drone)\, Data Analytics\, Engineering\, Robotics\, and Non-Profit. In these groups\, they will explore the technology in one of those fields of interest and engage with an innovation generation problem. Throughout the challenge\, students will discuss specific leadership styles that promote innovation in particular industries as well as leadership requirements to create or sustain an innovative organizational culture. The groups will come back together at the end and share their challenges and solutions with each other. The day's events will conclude at approximately 4:15 pm. \n\n\n\n?Pre-registration is required. ?A few spaces are still open for this event.
